COP Conversion Brackets

Do you know which plug goes to each coil?
I am swapping into a 2002 and not everything on the harness is labeled.  Two of the leads are together and the other two are on their own.

It does but I do not know how to help you, I had to trial/error mine.
There are 24 different possible combinations:confused:

The valve cover is wider at the top than where the original cover fit. I have had a new cover on my do list for some time but have never gotten around to it. It would be easy to secure it to the COP plate. I was going to get black plastic (heat resistant) and make one and try some different logos, etc. Unfortunately, I've always had two or three things on my to do list ahead of it. If any one else does something nice I would be interested in one.

I might be making something...  We'll see.

Maybe I will pull the wires on my stock e30 318is and see which is which.

Yeah something along those lines, I had it narrowed down somehow.  I had labeled them but I did something wrong, so guess and check it was.

yeah, its alright.  We have a couple different bench grinders and a bench polisher with two different stiffness of polishers.  Sometimes I just polish things because I'm bored. /super arrogant sarcasm

One question, is the seal for the hold down bolts not being used for this? I take it no leaks are happening without that seal?

I cut those bolts in half to get the seal and washer off and am using them on the stud.

So from what I understand, S52/M54 coilpacks are plentiful and hook right up to the resistor connector?

I used the m54 coils, I do not know about the S52 ones (are they the same?)

And yes, plentiful they are.  (They hook up too!)

Well...I am having a heck of a time finding reasonably priced coils for my COP conversion.  $50 / coil isn't terribly economical when a decent set of wires can be had for $85.  Turner does not have the correct ones.  I'm HOPING for something around $25 / coil, and I'm not giving up yet.  If someone happens upon a deal, let me know and I will be eternally grateful.

I used used coils I found on e46 fanatics,  they often replace perfectly good coils with "High performance coils," so I have found that the supply exceeds the demand for the used coils.  I got mine for $10 each with 15K miles on them.

I camp out on e46 Fanatics almost every night, searching high and low.  Haven't gotten lucky yet.

So with these you don't have to cut the harness? I already started to disect mine.....:mad:

I used the m54 coils, I do not know about the S52 ones (are they the same?)

And yes, plentiful they are.  (They hook up too!)
