rear exhaust?
« on: August 28, 2007, 11:54:42 AM »
well i contacted abrahams after looking through the schmeidmann site and finding a rear section exhaust for our car

http://www.schmiedmann.com/DisplayProductsNew.aspx?SeriesID=9&ModelID=2&CategoryID=9&MediaType=Screen&UseSessionData=true&CurrentPage=8&DummyId=0
4th from the top...
anyone tried this exhaust or heard it?
abrahams said it would cost 369 plus shipping which is damn cheap compared to the supersprint and well i wanna try it but i would much like to hear it first
any help would be awsome

I have never heard the exhaust, and I can't find the pic of it. Another relatively cheap option is to go with a muffler from Magnaflow. Part number is 11265. If you search for "flowmaster video" on this site, e9nine posted his exhaust vids with the magnaflow. Autoanything.com has this muffler for $65, and installation is about $40.

But what ever you decide which muffler do not eliminate the cat and the resinator from your car.  Talk about a "Ricer" sound if you do take them out.

i think that i may quinne pig this system for all of you... cause im sure some people are looking for a cheaper solution to the supersprint

I had a Simons system on my 318 M40.
Compared with the price the system is okay, but no more than that.
Finish is also okay, but fitting it without something rattling against somewhere was not easy.
Sound was a bit more deeper than stock, no big growl or anything like that.
