putting tranny back in after pulling both for upper oil pan replacemrnt and noticed there was no pilot bearing. Crazy it shifted sounded okay. Anyway im putting one back in but having trouble finding the pilot lineup tool local parts stores cannot order individual, anyone have a source

Make sure you get the correct size tool. There were 2 different sizes used for our cars. The earlier models like mine with a build date of 3/90, had a smaller tranny shaft tip. Thus it has a smaller hole in the bearing. I had to cut the tip off of the tool that came with my clutch, and insert a drill bit of the correct size. Ugly, but it worked.

Pepboys has a clutch alignment tool. It has alot of different sizes in one set.
