Alpina suspension setup question

This came from a 318is racecar, I can get it for $400. Let me know if this is a good deal/setup. All parts are used but barely so.

Alpina front springs + bilstein (alpina?) shocks
H&R Rear springs + Bilstein sport shocks
Some used but OK control arms.

Let me know guys, Im tryin to get my car in shape and sellin my M50 stuff Check it out in "For sale" section.

I wouldn't buy it.  Just buy some new springs ($200) -- many options -- and a set of new Bilstein Sport's ($340 or so).  You'll be much better off w/ new suspension and and the same springs front + rear.

Thing about that setup is that it wasnt used for that long from what I gather, and even the C arms are still in fairly good condition. The bilsteins have a lifetime warranty and I already have ball joints that would go into the control arms, I just never done it before and having a spare set is a plus.

And about the difference in the springs - the difference is only the specs, the springs themselves are just that - springs, they dont really go bad and they are both fairly popular and reputable companies (alpine and bilstein) I just wanted to know if anyone knows those specs. Cause the guy claims it will be almost a best handling E30 without coilovers.

I have the Alpina springs and specially valved Bilstein shocks front and rear and it is an excellent setup. The handling is very good, nice drop not slammed, not too stiff or soft yet very good road manners. If you can get it used even better because I think it was around $1500 new when they first came out (if I remember correctly). I paid $270 used, he had the shocks rebuilt before I bought it so the price is pretty close to mine with factoring the control arms. I would highly recommend it, good luck.

Thanks man, I just got the springs installed and oh my god.. handling is amazing.  Iwill post pics soon. (after my fender + fogs are done)
