New Member couple of questions and info

been reading this site alot.  Great Stuff! Bought a 91 318is on ebay about a week and a half ago. A friend of mine drove it 600 miles to my home. Drove like a dream he said. The compressor was bad so i had the car delivered to my mechanic. All of this happened while i was out on business. The compressor arrived and it was the wrong one. I got back in town late fri nite and have yet to see my car as it is still in the shop.  While i am waiting for the new compressor i am picking the car up tomorrow and will post more on the condition etc.

I do know i need the trim for the back passenger window if someone can help me out with a source. I know the front end parts are all new but i dont know if it is oem or not so i will post all of the info later.

I do have a question about chips and wanted your recommendations on what you thought i should go with. I missed out on the Mark D special.

BTW the car is painted a corvette yellow which i think is a cool color even tho the factory colors were great. I have been told the paint looks great so i will tell you more about that as well.

Anyway thanks for a great site.

also if the source the other compressor came from doesnt have the right one does anybody here have one? it is a denso v belt 147100-7310.

Cant wait to get going on suspension wheels tires etc.

I love that color.  I always wanted a dakar yellow e30 and that is the closest I have ever seen.  If it were my car I would go back to the stock front end and ditch the //M badging.

cant wait to see more pictures, and welcome.

Thanks for the feedback.  I went and looked at the car today. Its in the shop waiting for a compressor(was sent a wrong one). I am overall very happy with the car. There are absolutely no leaks and the paint looks great. The interior is clean.

After doing some research i found out that the front bumper/dam is a seidl. I thought maybe some black mesh will make the front end pop out a little more and yes the m badge will have to go.

While i have the car in i will have the pan dropped and check out the bolt situation.

Wheels are 6 spoke sport editions and are 14's. Tires are 3 different kinds. Tires are a must even tho the tread is really good.

I will post some more pics and keep you all up on my progress.
