Hey everyone! New to the forum, finally took pictuers of my baby!  Enjoy.

History
So my little brother was in an autotech class in his highschool.  They happend buy a guys' m42 1991 318i for the school for students to fix and sell back to the public.  They didn't know what to do with it becaue it was a GM sponsered class, freakin domestics.  It has 186k on it.  As soon as he told me about I jumped to the gun.  They changed the alternator which was good and sold it to me for $500!  Runs great, sounds great, and looks great!  I also own a e30 1990 325i

Things I have done so far
*Changed the alternator (Thanks to the school)
*Replaced thermostat
*Replaced waterpump
*Replaced fan clutch (Thanks for the tips)
*Oil change (it had been sitting there for over 7 months!)
*Did a hefty coolant flush (when I took the thermostat out the housing was caked with this brown stuff, so that intiated me into doing a flush)
*Fixed the radio, it wasn't working and the guy had taken all the speakers! Luckily I had some extras from my brothers totalled e34

Plans for the future
*Fix the center where the radio and the OBC is, the dude before messed it up real bad  DONE
*get a dashboard latch ($50 dollars on bavauto!! Rip off, DONE
*I'm have 4 konig monsoons on the 325 i'm going to put in on the m42
*Paint the valve cover
*H & R springs, my friend donated me IS springs... are they different do they drop the car?
*and the list goes on!

I"ll keep yall informed!

There's a latch for sale on ebay right now. Click here to see the search. There's four or five of them there.

BTW sounds like the car was a steal! Looks great :)

Hey everyone, I've been MIA for a long time from the site.  Update for the car.  I had trouble again with the alternator, got it and back on track again!  I found this guy who is selling parts for his e30.  I'm planning on getting an
-M-Tech steering wheel from himm
-OBC 13 button
-Glove box latch
-sunroof motor if possible
-mabye some little more stuff here and there

Also... I have noticed that Zoso's useful site is down and i can't access it anymore.  I had bought the keyless entry system he had recomended to buy, thankfullly i saved that page to my desktop.  I'm planning on taking some pictures and posting it up here soon of the update.   Glad to be back!

those cars are beautiful stock. just like any 80's/early90's euro cars.
and i'm not saying modified e30s aren't dope but its nice to keep that old school feel in some ways

by the way, IS springs wont drop your ride much, i think its a matter of 1/4 inch but they're a bit stiffer. still, you'll want something else
good luck with your project

There is a member on this forum (ID:  redhead) that had the center dash part you described earlier, for sale.  The panel that houses the radio, OBC and HVAC switches et al.  You may want to contact him to see if he still has it available.

I TOO miss access to Zoso's how to's.  Come back!

Hey everyone!  Its been a while since I have posted updates for my car, I have lots of them, so I'll start with the first update and I'll spread the rest of the updates through out the week I have to take pictures of them.

So... I found out that my driver rear rim wouldn't come off, due to the fact that one of the lug holes in the hub had been threaded.  Little did I know that the hub is connected to the shaft, so I got lucky, I had met this guy on Craiglist for parts, and he was able to help me swap out the entire shaft for just one lug!!! that sucks here are some cheap camera pictures.

more images to come...
