Exterior temp sensor wiring ?'s
« on: June 26, 2007, 03:46:10 PM »
For some reason, my car has the 6-button OBC but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out where the cable is. I know it is supposed to be in the driver's brake duct, but that duct is missing, and there are no unhooked wires in the area, much less a yellow one. Also, where do the cables from the sensor plug into the back of the OBC? Are they part of the green code plug that runs to the instrument panel?

Any info and pics would be greatly appreciated, as I have already searched for hours to no avail and I'm tired of seeing -22 when I start the car.

BTW my car is a bit of a paradox. It is an american car to the best of my knowledge, but it doesn'thave central locking. All american cars have central locking, so I'm a bit confused. It is also possible that the car didn't originally have on OBC.

No one at all? I have asked this question a few times and it seems that no one has any idea...

My brake ducts were missing and the sensor was stuffed in behind the bumper with the wiring for the park/turn lights. I don't have central locking either. No lock in the trunk or fuel filler door. I've had the door trim off and the locks are manual. The vin plate says it's an American model - DOT.

Didn't we go through this in May?

Here, try this:

Don't know what else to tell you - if your car came with the 6-button OBC, the wiring was originally there. If it is not now there, then there is little we can do about that...  you'll have to add the wiring back in yourself. Or put an analog clock in.
