Replacement fuel injector nozzles

Hello, fellow M42 heads.

I'm new here, only discovered M42Club recently after having been a member of e30zone for a couple of years. Nice to find a bunch of likeminded purists!

I'm in the final stages of putting my engine back together, following a profile gasket replacement. I noticed last night one of the injector nozzles seems to be damaged - the metal pin in the centre of the nozzle looks rough and smaller than the others.

Could anyone tell me, are the injectors used on the M42 the same as those used on other models, or even makes of car? I only really want to replace one, so could do with it being identical to the others. Alternatively I could replace all 4 with a different type. What are my options?

I replaced mine with new stock ones and still have my old ones that worked fine .If you need one let me know .

i think the size is 19Lb, by new ones whit 4 disk nossel. not the pinte type.
Will help increase horsepower in a stock engine.

Tor Arne Kaasen: Interesting about the ford racing parts. I notice on fordracing it says: "Kit contains high-flow rate fuel injectors, specially designed for race applications.
These injectors work best with air meters with revised calibrations. Not recommended for stock air meters."

Which sounds to me I might not get decent gains or fuel economy without some additional mods. This is for "spirited" road use, rather than for the track - I don't want fuel consumption to go through the roof. Maybe it depends how heavy your right foot is, ie normal flow rate is the same as stock injectors, it's just the max possible rate which is higher? Will do some further research...

I bought new ones for around $50 dollars each . If you don't go with stock then I believe you may run into fuel pressure regulator problems and computer mapping.
When I changed mine I figured for what I do with my car (regular street car) that anything more than stock was unnecessary .
There are people on this board that know alot more than I do about this and hopefully they will chime in.
I didn't realize that you were in the UK . Shipping there would not be economical I would guess.

why?
the same flow rate, same ohm,same fule pressur 3bar, only the nozel style is diffrent and the spray pattern better atomisation of fuel.

Thanks for the tips - I'm looking at ordering some injectors now from Five-O - however I see two possible replacements:

i had gone whit 19# BMW original equipment replacement for the older pintle-type 0280150714 (318is), 0280150203, and 0280150778. all are 200cc 19#
