Is this GB still alive?

I just got my 318iS last week, any discount (despite the lateness) would be appreciated!

It ended 3 weeks ago but since I am the boss here at EAT chips   I'll open it up again till April 26 with 8% off.   ;)

Cool, just put an order in.  Now I just need gas prices to level out.

I got lucky and bought a car with the 93 octane chip installed by the PO and I have to say that it's a very good thing.  There's a very clear bump in power from 3500 rpm on up.  My car is pretty well sorted and it's quite an entertaining ride while being entirely practical for commuting.  I'm coming out of an M30 equipped E34 with a 5 speed and while I think the old 5 will still pretty easliy outrun the 318, I don't miss the big car that much.  The little beast is suprisingly strong between 70-90mph, too.  If your car has good brakes and the suspension is in order, I'd say that it's the next logical step.

Well done!

Well I bought one from Mark's site before I knew about group buys... oh well you snooze you lose.  But hey Mark... I still haven't seen my chip?  I paid on 5/29 but so far no love.  Hopefully it's on the way?  I just put a new exhaust on the car, and just removed the throttle body heaters and am about to do a coil over ignition.  Now I just need the 93 octane chip to finish the job!

Thanks!

Hi Adam,
my shipper was away last week, I only found out the chips were not shipped a week ago.  He shipped yours, you will probably get it today or tommorrow.

I'll send you a GB discount anyway, so you don't lose.  Now go back to sleep!  :D

hey mark, i got the chip yesterday.  how about sending some GB discount love my way too?

by the way, the instructions you sent me were wrong - they were for the E36 318's.  i spent half an hour trying to find the ECU through the hood firewall, only discover that it's only accessible through the glove box.  i was finally able to take it out, but i got stuck because i didn't have a torx wrench handy.

to those of you who've done the installation - do i have to open it up via the torx screws, or can i open it up by bending back the tabs on the bottom?

thanks,
matt
