I have never had a need for the tool.
You can wedge a long flat head between the bolts preventing the pulley from moving ;)

dam u live in NY u should come over to the e30 meets we have in old Westbury not to many now but over the summer its nuts

also there is no need for a special tool for the water pump i did mine with an adjustable wrench and a pry bar

hmmm back to the water pump issue HELP where did u pry it from and how is that tool use??? am so confuse how to take off the water pump i know is easy but mine was never change 140k miles and the jack holw broke off so the only way to take it off is by prying it and u guy did it before with damaging anything so please a picture were to put the pry bar or wrench to take this out wat a headace just making sure am doing the right thing please a picture or a hit the new water pump look like this take this picture and image it and show me where to stick the pry bar please
