Trim moulding removal?
« on: May 20, 2007, 08:57:31 AM »
I need to remove this moulding.  Has anyone done this or know how to?  It looks like the small front piece is hard to get to.

Any help would be appreciated.

Stick a butterknife under it and pry.

:D

Actually, you can just get a good grip at the leading edge and pull.

It will pop out at the front and then you slide it to an open spot on the inside of the molding and it will come off leaving the clip on the fender. The molding clips can be purchased from BavAuto. They are hard to get off  - you have to push the pin out from the inside and some are hard to get to.

If this are the molding that runs the full length of the car.  The one on the door has two 10mm nut on each end take those out they should pop out.
