OK, so im pretty familiar with the m42, as i have gone through almost every aspect of it other than interior engine stuff, and ive learned enough to work through a rebuild from other cars. But what i cannot identify is my CEL. For whatever reason after my intake manifold gasket replacement  I have not been able to turn it off nor diagnose what the problem is, and im in the process of moving and dont have the $$ for a diagnostic. The car ran like crap when i finished the intake gasket replacement, then i realized the idle control hadnt been plugged in all the way and that solved the problem, but soon after the cel popped on after i had to take the manifold off again, and it has not gone off. I have done the process in which you depress the pedal 5 times in the on position but the light stays on regardless and will not flash. If I reset the ecu, as soon as i start the car and the motor is in full runnning mode, the light will pop on. I believe that I have narrowed it down to either the TPS, O2 sensor, or the AFM(as my room mate unplugged the afm while the car was running and then plugged it back in, which is when the light started coming on) , or the ecu because the diagnostic does not work. If anyone could shed light on why my self diagnostic is not working, or the .02 cents on what the problem could be, i would greatly appreciate it. The car runs well, but when you burp the gas it kind of stumbles on itself, but has no problem running hard and high rpms. when shifting hard as the engine is changing rpms between a 1st to 2nd shift you can feel a very noticable almost cut out type stagger. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys,

AH HAH, im a genious, figuring out that the cars self diagnosing wasnt working led me to the tps, then i realized the plugs on the e30 have a tendency to break out of their crimped connections, i peeled back the connector and found this:
the car runs like a champ, no CEL, HOOYAH
