is skirts - followed your lead and contacted bav auto.  great service and they were slightly cheaper than the prices listed on realoem.

i plan on painting the factory rear valance to match and possibly even the door handles. time to get some paint estimates...

do you plan to install yours yourself?

Man thats great.  I think installation is pretty straight forward.  Going to get them painted and paint the black trim white.  Already did the door handles and I really like them in body color. Not going to paint the shadow line.  I like working with Andy Lund at Bav Auto.  He had a 318iS and has some really good input and ideas.  Bav Auto has really stood behind their product and I have found their prices are consisitently lower on the most items I buy.  Got my MHWs there and saved some bucks.

This is great!  We need to stay in touch and compare notes. I will pm when I get mine back from the paint shop.  I will let you know what my estaimate is.  Which valence? The one on the car now?

Glad im not going in alone on this one ;) We will definitely stay in touch - look forward to hearing what the estimate is.  Yea..the valance on the car now. Ive heard mixed opinions on how well the paint will hold to its surface - but figure I will give it a go.

Heres a couple photos from e30tech that show how it should look:

Note the messy spray job underneath =p

oooh man!! cant wait!!!!

Nice!  The way i see it, it's cheaper to paint (I hope) the existing rear valence than buy an apron.  Most aprons I have seen feature a two pipe wide exhaust opening.

Besides if it looks that bad  I can always start looking for an apron.

Did anyone notice the rare front mudflaps above that seems to be contoured to the IS skirts?

Yeah, I noticed the flaps.  Pretty nice addition.  Fortunately for me, I drive so fast that any particulate matter on the road vaporizes as I travel:p

I just found a set of E30 flaps in my garage, wasn't quite sure how they'd look. Is there any hole drilling needed to fit them?

BTW those skirts are definitely going to be my next body upgrade :)
