Anyone here ever replace the wiper motor and linkage yet?

I'm reading through the e30 bentley and there is much to take out! Just wondering if anyone has an FAQ or any gotcha's to do the job.

I'm doing it right now. All the parts are already out w/o pics, but I can shoot some when putting a new motor in (which is currently in transit). Unfortunately, the bentley really didn't help, I just got it all out with logic lol. First carefully, with a screwdriver, snap the left plastic grill off, then take off the plastic off the wires and the plastic wall behind it (as you can see on the pics of my engine in the engine section), you now have access to the linkage and the motor. Then undo the bolts that the wipers were hanging on, then detach linkage parts with a screwdriver and now your linkage can be slightly pushed inside, so push it as far as you can, take off the motor's cover and disconnect the wirse. The tricky part is getting 3 (or was it 4?) bolts out which are holding the motor on the bottom. Once done, voila, the motor can be taken out and replaced!

Hey guys. new member. Anyway i just did this recently, so, do what that guy above did... only if you don't mind losing some skin and are very careful about breaking things, it is so much easier to remove the blower motor, underneath the plastic housing. then the whole thing comes out as one piece. So awesome.
