Not just targeting hillbillies that only work on American Iron but people with no clue in general.
Started replacing my timing components and it's turned into a bigger ordeal because the previous mechanic that worked on it used instant gasket on EVERYTHING. Yup, you name it including bolts, timing case(s), water pump, thermostat. Even used some sort of epoxy for the crankshaft sprocket. Luckily, I was able to break free the sprocket after a few b1tch sessions.
Also, they supposedly replaced the chain but neglected to replace the sprockets. Sprockets aren't always necessary to replace but if they are sharp enough to cut something, do yourself a favor and replace. The upper sprockets are really noticeable and easier to tell. The crankshaft sprocket is a little less noticeable.
