Hey, I asked this question on e30tech.com and they mentioned this board. The story is that I'm looking for a car that I could tinker with and go to the track/autocross on a budget, while still being able to drive daily. I have a backup piece-of-junk-rust-bucket-truck that I am currently driving. I was wondering if the e30 318is would be a good car for me? How much are yall spending on your turbo setups?.. Turbocharging this car sounds like something that would be fun (I would do it myself, sourcing mostly used parts)...

Well heres the car I found... It has 200k+ miles, so I guess an engine rebuild would be in the works... I'm wondering how much yall think this car would be worth based on the discription?

All rubber seals have been replaced around the car.
New Fog lights (old ones were foggy)
New Head lights (old ones were foggy)

Interior is in excellent condition

Heat works great
No sunroof (perfect track enthusiast)
Kenwood cd player
Wiring for a sound system (sub woofer)
Polk audio speakers all the way around
Drivers seat has a little rip
Oil just changed (Mobile 1 Synthetic)

200k+ miles

Car drives flawlessly and everything works perfect. No vibrations on the highway or while braking. Very comfortable for long trips and I get 30+mpg easily. The car needs NOTHING and is good to go for a very very long time. Great car but I don't have the funds to do the S52 swap I planned so I'm parting with it.

Hey is this car in or around Brooklyn?? If so, the seller owes me a god damn lower oil pan from like a year ago.

The bastard has been avoiding me since. Also, he painted the car himself..

..that car looks like it went from NYC to NC last time I saw it being listed. That car was involved in a wreck and painted in the rear with some overspray. I could be wrong though.

it is most certainly possible the guy may have sold it and now its in NC...

i think you can find a cleaner example for less and one that hasn't been modded and potentially driven really hard.

i would look for a nice clean/stock example..:rolleyes:

So did you see those pictures a while back?.. If it was in a wreck, a carfax report would show that right?

Carfax only reports wrecks that the ins. co was made aware of or if a police report was written.
