Engine Specs
« on: March 04, 2007, 10:45:58 PM »
Hi everyone. I am reasonable new to this site and i love it. Anyways i have recently bought an engine analyser program. I basically want to replicate the m42b18 and then mod it an see what makes good horsepower and what dosn't. Anyways to do it i need some very specific information, like port diamerters and lengths, lob lift and valve lift with cam timings and advancements or retardments. Anyways there is a whole heap of information i need. I wanted to know if anyone knows where i could get this info. Or if someone here has a motor pulled apart and could measure up a few things. Ill write down everything i need and post it here it will be a long list. But once its done i can run different mods and post the results, so you can all get the idea on the best value for money. Thanks guys:o

This is gonna be great. I would love 160 -175 HP from a M42. I really love the cheap aspect also. I'm waiting to see what can be done with a chip, reground cams, and porting.
