Browsing old files i found this:

It's a comparison between a standard intake cam (The inner curve), and a schrick intake (Outer curve)

The measurements were taken with a dialguage and a degree wheel.

The best way of making the measurement would be on a flat tappet, ant not with the pointy dialguage directly on the cam... (I did the pointy thing..) But it still gives a worthwile comparison.

I'm actually in the process of making some new measurements using a flat tappet on the cam instaead. Of both standard, schrick and the catcams i'm running on my own build. When that is finished i'll be happy to share.

My experience with cams is limited but I do know that some vary quite a bit. I know a motor builder that invested in a computerized cam profiler. What they found was an amazing variation between lobes on the same cam and a variation from the stated profiles.
