obc clock
« on: February 16, 2007, 03:19:20 PM »
hi

Since i have the car its like this:
(i have 6 button obc)
if i set the clock its ok, but verry often resets it self then it show 0:00.
some times good for a day some times just for a short time.
i have the car now about 2 years ago and i changed the batteries behind the dash, and i also looked inside the obc but i didnt find too much, looked ok so i putted back all the things. I have noticed if for eample i wanke the door hard it resets itself, also going on the bad road etc...
now because my car is vibrats at the moment(im working on it) the clock is 0:00 all the time.except if i set it while im parking or going verry carefull...
i guess is some wire connection, but i didnt find the connection loose at the back of the ocb.
Anybody had this before?

thansk

(i know its kind of BS but i tought if some body had this and fixed it.....  it might can give me more peace in mind)
THANK YOU!

hey it's not bs wanting to keep your car tight!

Definitely sounds like a loose wire, maybe because of your vibrations? :p   Not sure if you cracked it open, but there is sort of an outer casing to the OBC from my understanding.  Luckily, I haven't really had to fool with it.  Mine does the countdown of death occasionally, but pretty rarely, so I deal.

i took out the ocb took it apart, there is a conection inside with a few pins, i kind of streched the pins a bit from each other as well at the back of the ocb where the wire harnes conectig into it. its all better, only two times went away. It was going away 5 times a day:) i guess i should do the same with the conections at the back of the insturment culester then it would be perfect.
