M42/ M44 Timing assembly issues
« on: October 06, 2021, 05:08:11 PM »
Hello Guys,

I am having a issue assembling the chain tensioner on my M42 93'

Since the M42 chain tensioner is not available anymore i bought the one for the M44 PN 11311743262 with the Bush Bolt and washer.

Everything fits ok except when i close the timing case and it hits the bolt head.

Anyone has any tips on how to solve my issue?

Thanks you

The M42 and M44 timing cases are different in a few ways, although I am not familiar with all of the differences. It might also be that the mounting point for the tension rail differs such that it sticks out further.
