7300rpm in stock M42 E36?

Hello everyone  . I am considering to buy a Conny chip for my 318is. The chip has very good reviews, but the 7300 limiter is what bothers me. Is it safe to run the car at these rpm with everything stock. It is a 1994 E36. Currently it has no problem with holding 6700-6800 rpm for long time (drifting). But I am concerned if the M42 is capable of holding 7300 safely without blowing everything.(30 seconds max).

I have a Turner/Conforti chip in my Ti that goes to 7200 that has been in the car for 15 years. It is currently a rallycross car and spends 80% of it's life on the limiter.

Regarding chips, forget Conforti and the other big name ones out there. Those are all pretty old tunes, and while Conforti made a good one, I now recommend Sssquid Tuning. I've worked with the owner for a number of years on reverse engineering the ECUs in our cars, and I am confident that nobody knows the M42 better than them as far as tunes. (I have zero commercial link to Sssquid nor do I get any financial gain from recommending them)

As far as how the engine handles high RPM...it depends on the amount of existing internal wear, lubrication & that sort of thing. A well maintained M42 should take a pretty good beating. Personally, I wouldn't really want to hold >7000RPM for 30 seconds on an old, stock engine.
