Icv signal loss
« on: June 08, 2017, 02:29:59 AM »
So im running the itbs with (for now) the std ecu. Its far from ideal bit i needed the get the car running and checked before the oldtimer rules change in the country i live in. Ive deleted the icv and the plug just hangs there, will this send my car into limp mode? Once i have saved enough for a decent programmable ecu this should not be a problem but right now it might. The thing is that everything beyond half throttle makes the engine bogg down

I don't think it would cause your engine to bog down.  I suppose you could bridge the correct pins on the connector.

But what have you done with the TPS?  Is it reading correctly?  Or it might be that the ITBs present such a different running condition that the stock ECU can't adapt.

Im have a friend over this monday with an obd reader because my euro ecu does not have a stomp code thingy. The origional tps is fitted to the itbs. It its broken the obd reader should pick that up.Engine also has a cam with longer opening and more lift. It feels like the engine is getting way to much fuel at half- and wot but i cant confirm yet.
