hey everyone, I know this has been discussed before, but I still haven't found a specific answer for it. does anyone know exactly which models and years of e30 came with manual windows?

I believe all years of the E30 were available with manual windows, but that wasn't a listed option in some markets. Every E30 I've owned (with the exception of my '92 Cabrio) have specifically noted that the power windows were an installed option on the build sheet. I believe BMW calls that a "mandatory option" based on geographic markets instead of models. I know it's an oxymoron, but that's how it's been explained to me on more than one occasion. They'll install power window lifts in every car...but note that it's an installed option...even though manual windows weren't available.

I hope this clears things up a bit...clear as mud?
