The name's Art. Japanese/IR double-major studying/living in S.F.,CA.
Coming from the 2002 world (I have owned and raced 3), fellow enthusiasts always made referrences to the e30 318is and how similar characteristically it is to the 2002. So after selling my last 2002. I needed a new car and came up on a fantastic deal on a clean 318is. So, I got it. It's been 3 weeks and I have fallen in love. My GF is literally jealous!!. Here are some pics of my ride, enjoy:

Here she is with a blacked-out grill and turn indicators:

For the life of me, I could not get a clear/steady shot:

I dig this pic although it's rather blurry. My camera was mounted on my steering wheel and i was doing a buck ten on a long right hand sweeper in an undisclosed location :

So there she is. Next up is an aluminum flywheel, Dinan chip, Suspension, suspension, and suspension. Oh, and I'm also painting my bottle caps. Can't decide wether to do them ALL Black or Charcoal--I don't like them with a polished lip. A little photoshop help<

Welcome aboard.  Your going to love the 318is especially with the suspension mods.  What set up are you planning on?
Good luck with everything.  There is a lot of good information and help available on this forum.

P.S. My wife thinks I'm nuts when I tell her that I love my car.  It must be a Bimmer thing.
Dan.

Very nice! Have you considerd a 325 flywheel conversion insted of blowing a wad of cash on an alloy wheel?

Ha, Nogaro silver huh? I've decided to go Charcoal for my bottlecaps. I did a crappy pshop and I really liked it:) . Also, a buddy of mine bought an ebay chip by the name of "pro formance" for his 325is a couple years back, and actually saw a 12-15hp increase (can't remember) on the dyno. His rev limiter was bumped up to 7g's and he was very, very pleased with it. I know a lot of people are like, "Stay away from, ebay," but I will make my car the guinea pig for our cars and let you all know. And it's only 35 bucks!!!

Kidneyboy--Yeah, if I can source everything out beforehand. I would definitely want to go beyond that and lighten the 325 wheel as well.

twinpop--I think I'm leaning towards an HR cup kit. But, like i have done most of the mods on my cars, I'm kind of an opportunist, so-to-speak. If there is a good deal on an hr cup kit I'll take it. But, if there is a solid deal on a dinan set up I'll take it, same goes for Bilstein sports/Aftermarket springs. Unfortunately this is how it goes considering I'm a broke ass college kid!!

yeah go w/ a 325i flywheel and clutch.  Also I would HIGHLY reccomend upgrading your headlights, you still have the sealed beams in there right?  Just some simple stuff like that and springs will make a HUGE difference.

Also if you haven't done it already, you should put in like a Z4 2.5l ssk to loose the boat feeling of the stock lever.

asubimmer-yeah, sealed beams here. Believe ot or not, I kind of like the sealed beam look on my car. this is due to the fact that i have all black trim on the front end and it looks cleaner that way. So, I'm either going sylvania silver stars or h4/h1's. I think I'm going silver stars for now, since they are like 20n bucks a each. They are supposed to be a HUGE inmprovement over stock (they are rated at 4000k) and emulate HID's. The only negative thing I have read about these is that they have a relatively short lifespan--1/4 of a normal sealed beam.
