replacing flywheel
« on: July 07, 2016, 09:30:19 AM »
Hello,

I am planning to replace the flywheel from stock to a aluminum soon. Since the transmission is coming off, are there anything else I should replace at the same time?

Thanks,
O.C.

If you want to be thorough: replace the clutch, TO bearing, plastic nub that holds the spring, the spring, clutch slave, and hydraulic hose.

It just depends on how anal you want to get.  Obviously the stuff inside the transmission area will be easier to change now that the tranny is separated.  The stuff on the outside (slave and hose) can be changed later if they fail.

Replace EVERYTHING while you're in there. All seals and anything that you touch, and everything that rotates. Do it once and save yourself any future hassle.
