It's breaking my heart, but I have to sell my 1991 318is instead of fixing her up as I've always dreamed.
1991 318is. M42 engine. Brilliantrot. Indiana title. Can't remember the mileage, but I can check when I'm up in the area this coming weekend. Currently stored in a fully enclosed space in Johnsburg, IL. (Wisconsin border-ish, halfway between Chicago and Rockford.) I'm in Chicago, but can get up there fairly readily.
I drove her in, but she hasn't been run in over five years. Probably best for parts or as a project car. Body is in relatively decent condition, but is very dusty. Battery is dead and at least two tires are flat. There is cosmetic rear bumper damage from when I slid into a parked SUV while backing out of the driveway in a snowstorm. The clear coat is starting to peel from the roof a little. I have no idea what kind of overhaul is needed to run again after this many years. I tried to take decent care of her for the years that I had her - always changed the oil and plugs and other things on a regular basis and often picked up OEM parts from a local BMW mechanic friend whenever things failed. The owners before me seemed to have taken good care of her, too, but I have very little history. One very uninteresting photo of the car in the storage space is attached. It's all that I have available right now.
Asking $500. You'll need to haul her away. I'll do my best to answer any questions. Thanks!
