Car won't idle when warm, ICV?
« on: July 31, 2015, 11:34:46 AM »
So my car got a little hot yesterday (like 3/4) and I don't know if that had something to do with it but the next day it won't idle when warmed up, won't even try. I took out the ICV and stuck it in some cold water for a couple minutes then all was fine, but I'm still not 100 percent positive that was it since it's an intermittent issue. I did find that when I adjust the throttle stop so the throttle is held open very slightly, the car idles fine, and this is what has me believing it's the ICV, and not the crank sensor etc. A lack of air seems to be the problem. I checked the vac hoses and they appear fine from what I can tell, but I have a super charger covering some of them  ;D

Do you guys think it's a safe bet to drop 130 on a new ICV? (btw I cleaned it a few months ago and again yesterday)
