ABS Question?
« on: April 27, 2015, 08:56:24 PM »
So I got the rear driver's wheel bearing installed. Good Lord I hate drum brakes. Took me longer to sort that out and get it properly adjusted than it took to press the bearing and hub in!? Sp on to my new issue. Before I started the whole project, the Brake Lining light was on that really bugs me so I finally replaced rear passenger lining sensor and cut and soldered it in so i was pretty happy that that light was finally out. I pull it in to the garage and the ABS light turned on? I had driven it approx. 10 miles with the new wheel bearing and lining wire installed and now this? I am wondering if the abs sensor in bearing wheel has messed up? It's possible I suppose? Question is... How do I get a reading of what the code is for ABS? My Peake reader doesn't do ABS. I googled and all I get are Relay fix posts.

If it is a ABS sensor, anybody have spares laying around they'd want to sell? They are stupid expensive each.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks
Dean

I think you need a GT1 to read ABS codes. I don't have any spare sensors on me, but I do know where a few are. I'll get back to you if my buddy is willing to sell.
