Could this be causing some of my problems?

So I was investigating my ongoing engine management problem(s) and found that this hose fitting is disconnected. It is located underneath the intake boot where it connects to the plenum. I found that there is oil mist coming from it, so I'd assume that it has to do with the PCV. Anyone know what it does, and if it could be causing any issues?

That should be a plastic plug in there. The E30 has two ports on the underside of the rubber intake boot - one should go to the ICV, the other should be plugged. It doesn't seem to matter which is which - I swapped positions when I upgraded to silicone rubber hoses.

Thanks. I recently replaced my ICV so maybe I lost the plug when I was fiddling with the intake boot. Do you think that it is sucking in unmetered air and could cause any issues?

Sucking in unmetered air would cause the engine to run poorly.

INPA on the M42 from e36 is difficult because it has the 15pin in the diagnostic contact, and make it need a ADS contact able INPA like INPA 3.01 or old version. Some body to know where to get old INPA ? I only have the new version.

I have tried so many times to get i work, but do not know how to get the iNPA be useable for ADS.
