Last weekends brake project

Well the little race car was experiencing some really bad brake fade on the track an eventually warped a set of brand new rotors. I decided to diy some brake cooling ducts and cross drill the rotors. I made up a template in cad and started drilling away at a new set of rotors. I then fabbed up some 3in tubes onto the backing plates. After a little bit more work and some flexible tubing, Whalah!!!,, cross drilled, fresh air force cooled brakes.. We will see how they hold up this weekend at Thunder Hill Raceway.....Skid

nice work skid. Did you fabricate the backing plates as well?

They are the stock backing plates, all I did was cut a 3in hole with a hole saw and welded in a piece of 3in muffler pipe. I also have the template used for drilling the rotors if anybody wants to give it a shot...Skid

I love it! especially because kits that do this go for $200+! will def be doing the same when my project gets around to brakes
