Ok guys so the story is 2 months ago I took my 318is e30 off the road to do some needed repairs (timing chain, cam gears, chain guides, water pump, thermostat, lifters and oil filter housing gasket) The car was running fine when I took it off the road, no issues at all except an oil leak and noisy lifters. I have now replaced everything went to start it and just won't run, it's getting spark and fuel, swapped leads between coils to make sure they aren't at fault, changed spark plugs, checked timing again, from trouble shooting I worked out that the front 2 cylinders aren't firing. When I manage to get it started it barely doing 500rpm at full throttle and that doesn't last long. I'm going to do a compression test on each cylinder tomorrow to make sure that is all good. It's doing my head in, what else could it be?
