I turbochared my car a while back and still cannot figure out how to stop so much pressure building up in the valve cover and blowing oil out the oil cap. I have bent the clips on the cover to try and make a tighter seal and that didnt work and I also put a check valve in the line so pressure can't go in only out but that dosent seem to work either. The only way that it works is if the line comes off completly but Im not too happy with that idea. What has everyone else with a turbo done about that?

you need to take the hose on the valve cover and put it in front of the turbo, to create vacuum , and block the other end where the hose goes to the intake.

I had a small vaccume line coming off in front of the turbo but it just sucks the oil out, you havnt had that problem?

If your sucking the oil that means your getting some air flow, wich again means or points to rings , valve seats or seals are leaking air trough them,
of course small flow is normal but not

where does that hose go on the engine?

I ran a fitting in the valve cover, it solved the problem but i was just throwing oil back through the turbo inlet, it was a small vaccume line that ran through to the intake, so as the boost rose so did the vaccume in the valve cover which seemed to balance it out but the oil flying around inside the cover would get sucked through little by little back and blow thorugh the intake. I only put a check valve in the breather line so no pressue could go in and thats why i only needed a smaller vaccume line off a different part of the valve cover. I think what you are talkign about is a much better solution though.

if you put the hose from the front of the engine to the turbo intake but make the hose so it�s only got a very small opening inside, like a restrictor you could minimize the oil flow but maintain vacuum in the intake

yeah i think i dad a bad job explaining it, basically insteady of running a vaccume from the breather line i ran a separate one with a check valve in the line but i was sucking up oil into the intake, i just did what you said and it works and doesnt seem like it shoudl suck up oil out of that breather line

You didnt have problems with your AFM reading thought, I am running it suck through so i put the line in between the AFM and the turbo inlet, if your drawing air through after teh AFM that didnt give you a bad reading?

You could just use a breather filter off the VC

if he�s getting any positive pressure in to the block it will come out of the breather we did this on a M20 and the oil mist came flying out of the breather

I dont think much oil is coming out of the breather if any, only the old fitting i tapped into the valve cover was sucking out a decent amount of oil. Now that the oil is fixed i think the engine is running a little rougher which woudl most likely be because of that fitting i just put in giving bad readings from the air going in.

I went out and did some tuning, it didnt seem to make a difference with the vaccume line back to the intake so i think it should be ok. Before i was wondering if you put an hole int he pipe between the AFM and the Turbo inlet that opening will suck in air that the AFM doesnt read and i cant get a fitting in between the Air Filter and the AFM. I can't get pictures right now, i will try to soon but I think its running good. It was only at like 4lbs i got the boost controller to put in it tomorrow and turn it up and put the wideband in and i will see how it goes.
