Oil pan front pickup point
« on: June 14, 2014, 06:57:07 AM »
Does anyone know the purpose of the plug in the front of the oil pan on the M42 and M44?  It is on the inlet side of the pump between the pump pickup point at the bottom of the pan and the pump.  I'm wanting to see if I can use that point for a turbo return line.  Right now I'm using an electric scavenge pump.  Has anyone tried this?

Anyone out there know what this is? I can't remember. Our return is on the passenger side of the lower pan and works perfectly, even on the track (Watkins Glen). If this point is used, get it attached as high as practical.
