m42 Turbo Clutch setup

I have searched and searched and have yet to find an answer that makes me feel comfortable.

I am building a 9psi turbo m42 (w/AC).  I do not want to rid of the dual mass flywheel.  There is already more gearbox rattle than I want.  I plan to resurface the flywheel and install a competent clutch.

Supposedly the stock clutch should be able to handle the ~200hp/tq the engine should put out but I've seen a couple people slip it.  So that brings me to my question:

What clutch can be used in combination with the stock flywheel to handle the higher power output?

Pelican lists Centerforce 1 or Dual Friction kits, but curiously, they don't list the 91 318is in the list of acceptable vehicle applications for either kit.  And as well, I've read that with a centerforce setup, there is a lack of clearance in the bellhousing for moving weight......what does this mean?

The only other thing I came across was clutchnet.com  which may have what I want, but I've never heard of them before and am skeptical

I understand that you don't want to get rid of the dual mass flywheel but here are a few reasons why you might want to reconsider...

The m20 flywheel is readily available in wrecking yards everywhere and ebay. I have seen them as low as $50.00.
The m20 flywheel is lighter meaning faster revs
The m20 flywheel has a larger surface area (13mm larger than m42 dual mass) meaning more grip!(for you turbo guys!)
And lastly, there are TONS more clutch setups available for the m20 flywheel.
If you use the spacer in between the flywheel and crankshaft you DO NOT need to use the 323i tob. The m20 clutch tob and pressure plate will work perfectly.
You may need to run a starter from a e30 325i tho.. I am not sure what starter you have now.

Thank you for your input, and yes, I understand the benefits of the m20 flywheel conversion and have done a fair amount of research on it.  My biggest problem is that I am already unhappy with the tranny chatter in neutral, and the last thing I want to do is make it worse.  Plus, my m42 components are in good shape, so I'm not keen to replace them.  I'll go the m20 route if need be, but I have to imagine there is a properly fitting suitable m42 clutch to handle 250hp.  But maybe I'm just a dreamer....haha

I was just on a really cool website, horsepowerfreaks.com. They sell performance clutches. They have a bunch of clutches for your car, from stage 1 to multiple disc race clutches. They have a couple of stage 2 spec clutches and a few south bend clutches that look to me like they might work well with your application.  They recommend you swap to the single mass flywheel with most of the clutch kits they sell but there are a few that let you retain your dual mass.. Check out the website, the prices were pretty good too!! Good luck my friend.. Mark
