hey i just bought a 91 318i its my first car and i love it, drives perfectly. new brakes, wheels, steering colum, etc. has some cosmetic issues, never been in an accident however, just needs some tlc and a few interior parts. ill post pictures soon i hope everyone on here will be helpful in my resoration process. in the meantime id like to see some pics of some 4 doors!(all i ever see on here are the  2 doors) so i can see the potential i got!(no offense is')

thanks. p.s anyone here in Virginia?

Welcome. Sounds like you got something nice. What are you planning to "Restore" on the car?

Here's a pic of my daily driver/autocross mobile

I hate to be mr. negative but be careful in trying to do restorations. I'd suggest you drive the car for about a month to make sure it's what you really like ( a lot of people try to act like 136hp is enough for them when it isn't ), identify the car for what it has and what it may need then start to do a list to follow the following items:

Start with a fresh upgrade of all suspension rubber components for the control arms, tie rods, subframes, sway bars, differential, guibo, CSB, trailing arms etc depending on what hasn't been done.

Then go through the motor to do the water pump, thermostat, radiator hoses, intake hoses and gaskets, fuel filter, fuel lines, brake lines, e-brake shoes, disc brake rotors and pads etc depending on what hasn't been done.

You can then move on to the aesthetics. If you don't do it this way - you will find yourself jumping back and forth between petty things. I am no guru of any sort but this method has always worked for me depending on what I know was done to the car and the items I already had on hand etc.

Of course when you go through the car - it's the best time to replace items with upgrades or stock as needed.

Welcome again.

yah, thats what im tryin to get to, mine has an aftermarket stero, it just needs things like, bottlecaps, thingys that go around the door handles, the little encasings, i think my shifter is broken so i might need a new one but if not just the emblem that sits on top that shows the gear box, and a paint job :P
