Living in Arizona my father doesn't winter seed his yard so the crab grass is dormant this time of year. It's kinda the norm for people who don't belong to a HOA. My father lives on an acre with water rights, and farm animal privileges so during the summer it's green, because of the every 2 week flood irrigation. During the winter it's once a month after dry up.

Well it looks like the Angry White Chihuahua's water pump died. So I think it might be a good time to flush, hoses, belts, and thermostat ....

The snag is whoever serviced the car before I got it used lots of RTV! The water pump is pretty much glued in the engine. You know how the 2 screws that you use to pull the water pump out well one of them broke part of the housing the other strip the threads in the pump housing. So this weekend was preparing, and cleaning for water pump extraction. The trick will be not damaging other aluminum parts on the front of the engine when extracting the water pump.

yep, that would definitely be a snag.
I feel for you, the pump is in a peculiar spot that doesn't allow prying that's for sure.
Hopefully you can get it extracted without collateral damage.

Got an extra engine for parts. There's some salvage yards locally here in Phoenix Metro area ... I wish I had the time to go find a 92 thru 95 M42 so I can update my car to serpentine drive belts, and coil over plug setup.
