E30 Skid Plate Red46 Sump Armor
« on: January 23, 2014, 11:39:46 AM »

I realize making your first post a For Sale thread is always a little fishy but I've been a long time member of R3V Limited and I thought I would make known to more people.

I make a fully stainless Skid Plate that comes with all new hardware, including new steering rack bolts. I've been selling these for over a year and had great success. I am confident that they are the strongest bolt on skid plate out there.
Here is a link to my R3V thread so you can see I'm legit http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=269486

I'd venture a guess that most of us with an M42 in an E30 are on r3v as well. But, it looks like it's nicely made part. So, if my car gets any lower, and it will, I'll hit you up for one.
Pi is apparently the multiplier for your engine swap budget as well.

I would say that you are correct. But I also know some people are fed up with a lot of the R3V "drama" and don't spend much time on there.
I'm not going anywhere so just let me know when you're ready.

This sale still going? Got any pics of some abused skid plates? I'd like to see how they've held up in the real world. I've done a search, but haven't found anything showing a plate that smashed into a speed bump or anything else.  My main concern is the bend in the plate. There is no supporting structure to keep that bend from reversing into the oil pan. Although, I see you've addressed that issue on the race spec plates.
