Shortshift - hesitating....

Hi you guys

Ever since I bought my "iS" I wanted to fit a short shift. I read some things about it but  never found very much user info or comparisation between the "original shortshifts".
So I'm trying my luck here  . Now the time has come to order one..
I first wanted to buy a Z3 1.9 shortshift, but since I won't drive with this car forever(as a daily , got you guys there for a sec  ) I'm starting to hesitate to order an Z3M or a Z4 3.0 shifter.
The Z3M shifter is a little longer, so it'll be that little shorter than the Z4 3.0, but the top is a little longer..
So in short; What would you guys recommend overall? And What would you choose if you had to choose between the Z3M and the Z4 3.0.
Any user info or advice is much appreciated!!!

Z3 1.9, have one in my car and it's great.  I believe I've read that the Z3M and Z4 shifters are notchier and you may have to tweak them to line up correctly.
