hello guys..
..not sure whether it's the best muffler/backbox for m42.. but now i'm using Remus... taken from a e30 m20 2.0... i'm happy with the performance and sound... it gives u the crispy sound when idling and the grumpy bassy sound when accelerating

Didn't the m20's all have dual exhaust all the way back? I've been looking for a dual-tip exhaust for my 318 for some time, and all I have come across is the powerflow custom setup. I'll probly end up with a supersprint system, though. Apparently, they are very reliable and have a good sound.

my experience is m42 needs a back pressure for the exhaust even though the original after market exhaust like supersprint,or.... etc... jsut get the proper and suitable for 1.8 liter car with straight flow exhaust will do...

m20b20...inlet single pipe...outlet dual pipes.. but i also have used the m20b25 muffler.. which like u said.. dual pipping all the way.. i did some mods to the dual inlet... it turned out ok.. but i've let it go for the remus.. heheeh

Nelson, you forgot to tell them that your car is Right Hand Drive... With the steering coupling on the 'WRONG' side of the engine, there's very limited space to custom make a free flowing extractor system...
