I finally put in the E46 328Ci or 330Ci lever that I bought through BMA. BMA will make th kit with any lever you specify. They all fit the same from the E30, E36, and E46 3 series and the Z roadster. Check realoem.com and if they use the same plastic bearing, they will fit. The problem with the selector rod hitting the driveshaft is peculiar the six cylinder models. On E30's with the M42, you don't have to bend anything. The 328Ci is a short throw lever between the Z3 1.9 and the ultra short Z3 3.0 or M. The 328Ci lever is also bent backwards and to the left like the original lever. Otherwise it would be farther away. It seemed real notchy at first but I got used to it real quick. I love it! It went right in the car as received.
