WTB M42
« on: June 17, 2013, 02:16:44 PM »
Hey guys, my engine recently blew up, and if I can find a good engine for cheap, I would rather not have to sell my car.

I have a 1991 318is. I am located in Reno, NV. I would like something local (I would be willing to drive a few hours if the price is right)

Since this car is my daily, I really need an engine with low miles, and will be reliable.

Please let me know if anyone has an engine.

Thanks guys

I actually have one completely rebuilt, sandblasted, painted, and all that good stuff.  However it isn't cheap.  I would be willing to sell it if the money was right but you may be better off at a local wrecking yard.  M42 engines are not too hard to find. Bavarian auto recycling has some for $800 used (last time I checked) or $6000 rebuilt.

Where are you located, and what is your asking price?
