Low miles 1991 318is

Looking at buying a 91 318is with about 100k miles. Has what I believe to be replica alpina wheels and adjustable coilovers. Needs carpet, AC needs fixed, no radio. Has some rust and a good ding in the drivers door.

Black leather sport seats, looks yummy.  Low miles is great, car looks good.  Hard to tell problems from photos though.  Any records with the car?  Did the car ever overheat?  Cracked heads are a design flaw...

How are the rockers and lower a-pillars?  Rust there can be a really bad thing.

What's the story with the carpet?

Don't have answers to any of those question yet because I have yet to drive to go look at it.
I do know the story with the carpet the car was gutted to be a race car but the current owner put a interior in it and just didnt do a great job of putting it all back together.
