Any one using Vorshlag mounts?
« on: March 09, 2013, 10:36:56 AM »
Is any one using Vorshlag engine mounts? If so you you have pictures of them installed on an E30?

I have emailed them but they seem to not give a toss and not email me back so calling on you lovely people :)

I have a set but I'm not entirely sure they're correct.

Many thanks

I have Vorshlag engine and tranny mounts, I found out that installing them so they look "upside down" is the way that they seemed to fit on my car.  The best I could tell is just go off the threads, for mine, it only seemed to fit one way.

I'm glad it's not just me then! Seems they have got their dimensions wrong when making them. The centre stud needs to be at least an inch longer to get even a K-nut on there.

Vorshlag have proved to be utterly useless. I have emailed all the email addresses available, Facebook, twitter, the lot and no response. VERY ANNOYING!

They are a pain to install. As you said it would be helpful if the studs were longer!

Also, there is no locating feature on the bottom to keep the mounts from spinning which is annoying.

One trick is to loosen the motor mount arms on the block so you can get more articulation.

Did you get yours working with the standard studs then? Seems impossible to me? Going to have some longer ones made.

Yes I got them working with those studs, but I agree longer ones would be much better. I remember they were too short IMO.
