91' e30 315iS with 152k miles...exterior is excellent, inside leather is cracked, BBS wheels, lowered with eibach springs. he wants 4k

I would say depending on the condition of the engine and wear items, yes. People have been asking for more than $5K recently for the 318is, some in great condition.

Seems in line with normal prices these days. I still think anything over $3K is overpriced, but considering how much fun you'll have, $4K is pretty cheap.
