I'm looking for one or two decent 14" Basketweaves for my E30. I have a complete set that came with the car, but they definitely show their 20+ years of use. I have two practically new rims w/tires that really pop out and I'd like to pick up another two in the same condition.

So dig into those old trunks and pull out your never (or ever-so-lightly used) spare tire and let me know what you have!:)

If I had a sare I would be mre than happy to share but... 'free bump' I do not.

Check Craigslist. I see a set every so often come up around here.

I see them for sale as sets all the time on the forums and CL, but I wonder if I can catch a couple hardly ever used spares for less than what a set goes for.

I have two bbs that you could have for freight only. Here they are:

#2 has some curb rash, but I do not think they are bent in any way. They are 14's, you didn't mention size, but i'm assuming you are going stock. I have them boxed in the boxes that my new 15" TRW motorsports came in. Such a deal. Let me know, would love to get rid of them.

I am in 94556, NorCal. I will get dims and weight of box if your game.

First off, a big, "Thank you!" to SFinSF for his generosity.

I received the first wheel yesterday and the second one arrived today. Both were cleaner'n a whistle and look pretty good. I mounted the "curbed" one on my car and gave it a spin...nice and straight. The curbing isn't as bad as it looks...probably less than 2mm has been ground off at the most.

I found a couple threads on other forums regarding alloy wheel repair and they used JB Weld or a similar epoxy putty to repair curbing or gouges. One person claimed to have mounted and dismounted tires without damage to the repaired lip.

I'm going to talk with my neighbor and see if he'll run a bead across the damaged areas and throw it on his lathe, but has anyone tried using two-part epoxies on a wheel repair?
