Calling all dbilas ITB owners - air leak
« on: February 08, 2013, 09:16:12 PM »
Anyone who has/had a set of these ITBs,

I'm having an issue where a pretty big air/vacuum leak occurs around where the shaft that turns the throttles enters the throttle body, it looks as though there should be some sort of seal there.

Basically it leaks from where the arrow points, but from each side of each throttle. Could

Does anyone know if there is a seal you could get or if you could make one?'
Its making it hard to tune for idle, and makes the engine struggle if you blip the throttle too quick.

Had a look at mine but cant see anything without dissasembly. Would recomend a lip seal like this however. Common enough and should be cheap. Viton would be a good material choice given application,

should have size options here
