FS-m42 turbo rebuild longblock-Nebraska
« on: February 04, 2013, 03:39:21 AM »
Gauging interest for my rebuilt m42 engine from 1994 bmw 318is. This motor has been completely gone through. the bottom end has been bored, honed, dipped, and the block o-ringed and assembled by professionals were in neural for $650. New rods, bolts, main and rod bearings, and forged rods and pistons(8.5:1 cr for forced induction) from VAC Motorsports. New valves and head machine/rebuild as well. Lightweight/surfaced European flywheel also. Black and white paint on valve cover and intake and black engine block. Mess under the intake has been taken care of as well as COP Kit along with other details im sure im forgetting. Decided not to build such a crazy engine for my bmw 2002 so am selling off the engine/parts. Needs turbo/exhaust manifold/few other items to be completed. No short cuts in building the engine so far, was building with 400+ hp end goal. almost 3500 invested, looking for 2k or best offer. Fairly negotiable, depending kn interest. email or message for more details.

I sent a PM but in case you haven't seen it. Are you able to ship it to North Carolina?
Out of curiosity, having put that much money into it, why wouldn't you still use it?
Thanks,

Just in a different financial situation than when started. I could do a slight rebuild and have the car on the road and enjoying it with little effort, where as finishing this engine and making the car worthy for the power would be too far down the road to see.
