Motor Mounts needed for (crashed) Track-day car
« on: November 12, 2012, 11:52:47 AM »
Hi All

Crashed my track-day car this weekend, part of the damage is that both my motor mounts broke.
Can somebody tell if there is any manufacturer for (Solid) motor mounts for my E30 318is in Europe.

Thanks for your help!

It's in the US, but check out Condor Speed Shop (he's a vendor on R3V also, and on facebook). They sell full sets of UHMW for anything on the car you might need, and with good prices. UHMW are solid, but absorb more vibration than aluminum mounts do.

I don't think he's that "big" yet since CSS is basically a race team that makes some parts on the side. That said, motor mounts aren't that heavy, so shipping to Europe shouldn't cost all that much.

@ irish44j; I order Motor mounts before in USA, shipping was around USD 75,00. But it looks like I found a company who are willing to make some for me. It is this company from the UK

http://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/bmw/e30/680/BMW310M/front_engine_mount_s14_engine_m3_and_320is

These look much more rigid than the Urethane ones I had on the car

@ romkasponka; Thanks man, they have nice stuff to sell, will try to contact them and see if they can produce the MM.

wow.....I order things from Europe all the time and it's not that much. I had a full set of dampers sent from UK and that was less than $40 for shipping....much larger and heavier than motor mounts!
