Hey all,

So I had a 28-point steering and suspension check done today. Good thing is, the M-Sport suspension that has been in my car for the past 17 years (7 of which have been owned by me) is still in pretty good condition. However, the rear shocks are going, the rear springs are going, the rear bump pads are going and the rear mounts are moving.

My question is, what is the best option for me? I don't want to just replace the rear stuff and have M-Sport suspension on the front with something else on the back. If I were to replace it, I would get a complete kit, and lower it at the same time. So what is the best out there?

Budget isn't a concern. I don't want low budget anything on my car. Have been looking at Bilstein kits, but I want to know what you guys think.

Every suggestion will be taken on board.

If you were in the states I'd recommend the usual Bilstein Sports wrapped in H&R or IE springs. Shipping & availability would determine my choice.

Maybe Konis with coilovers? Bilstein's PSS9 set seems to always rank very high on wish lists.

A mat is running Bilstein PSS9s on his supercharged 318iS. He has swapped it through two 318iS, this being the second, a 328i and a 325i. He uses as his daily and tracks it and has used it at Bathurst at the FOSC event. He reckons it is a good allround suspension setup. I have driven it and it seems quite comfortable.

I have been looking at the Bilstein B14 and B16 kits. what are the main differences between them? from what I can tell, the B16 has a hardening adjustment where the B14 doesn't...but is that all?
