Idle issue

So I replaced all the vacumn hoses doing the mess under the intake mod. Also swapped the o2 sensor and cleaned the icv which looked liked it has been replaced before it was pretty clean. So that fixed the jumping idle but it still seems high idling about 1100. Also when the ac is on it lowers to about 800 but when it cycles off it is right back to 1100. What else should I check? It's not a big deal just want it to be right.

Check that the throttle hasn't been adjusted, and that it's closing properly. Also the throttle cable ferrule tends to crack at the throttle body mount, then the cable hangs up a bit. It was a recall IIRC.

Mine is the same! Does it sound like its idling that high though? Cable is adjusted as low as it goes. Throttle closes find was bad when i bought it! It was sticking open at 3000 rpm!

I replaced the cable and the intake boot when I first got the car. Also when I first start the car it will sometimes idle about 800 which seems right. Then after driving it will stay up about 1100.

Have you been losing any coolant? Sometimes the sensor in the head can go a little dry from a SMALL crack and cause a hunting idle. That was my symptom, that and a big a$$ cloud of white smoke but the smoke took a while.

I haven't noticed any lost coolant.
It seems to me that the car is stuck in the higher idle mode for having the ac on even when the ac is off. But I don't know what triggers the change or how to troubleshoot that.
